According to The Red Book (UNIX System Administration Handbook, 2nd Ed.) (1995): "O'Reilly & Associates sells the 4.4BSD manual set and the raw (unbootable) 4.4BSD-Lite code (on CD-ROM) for a reasonable fee. I suppose that's out of print...but you can get the source at: ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/bsd-sources There is also (and this one *IS* in print) "The Design and Implementation of the 4.4BSD Operating System" (I think that's right) which is a red hardbound book. -===================================================================- Jeremy Shaffner JORSM Internet Senior Technical Support Northwest Indiana's Premium jer@jorsm.com Internet Service Provider support@jorsm.com http://www.jorsm.com -===================================================================- On Thu, 4 Jun 1998, Larry Temple wrote: > > > >On Thu, 4 Jun 1998, Larry Temple wrote: > > > >> > >> I had a question: Do you know what version of FreeBSD that the BSDI people > >> used to develop BSDI 2.0? > >> > >> If yes, then do you know how I can get a copy of that version of FreeBSD. > >> > > > >You've got it backwards.
