What I understand is that: 1) the decision making is on the name of the variable: WITH_XXX or WITHOUT_XXX but 2) the syntax of make needs a value after the variable, so you must write WITH_XXX="YES" WITH_XXX="123" WITH_XXX="NO" it will all result into including the option XXX Bests, Olivier
