Dear all,
I am trying desesperately to install a WinTV and a Sound Blaster 128 PCI
board. Does any of you have some experience with such installations
because I encounter a lot of problems. I am using the FreeBSD.4.0
version. Hereunder, you can find the description of these problems.
WinTV Installation
------------------
I have added the following lines to the kernel file:
OVERRIDE_CARD=2
OVERRIDE_TUNER=7
OVERRIDE_MSP=1
OVERRIDE_DBX=1
controller smbus0
controller iicbus0
controller iicbb0
device bktr0
The OVERRIDE parameters are specified because the board does not seem to
be autodetected at rebooting. On the board, the tuner is the TEMIC
front-end 4006. I tried to debug with fxtv -debug startup and I have
attached the output file under "output" name. Apparently, there is a
problem with the i2c bus because the Tuner is detected at every possible
I2C address following to that file! I do not know what to do to solve
that problem?
Sound Blaster PCI 128
---------------------
I tried pnpinfo to detect the parameter but it does not work. Moreover,
I do not know what to add in the kernel file in order to make working
the board.
I would greatly appreciate any support you could give me.
Thanks in advance,
Francois
