One of the peices of the puzzle is to finally shut the UPS off, thus powering down the machine. I was wondering where the "correct" place to implement this hook was? In /etc/rc.shutdown? Or is that too early? I need all the disks to have been dismounted. or at least mounted as read only when this action takes place. I realize that the program I want to rum will probably have to be on the root filessytem, as this is all i can depend upon being accessible by then. -- Stan Brown stanb@netcom.com 404-996-6955 Factory Automation Systems Atlanta Ga. -- Look, look, see Windows 95.
