Hi all! Thanks for a great operating system, coming from Linux certainly feels liberating :) I have some small problems though and one of them is that I cannot control backlight on my laptop, a Dell Vostro 3300. This worked under Linux when using acpi_video=legacy kernel parameter (if this helps). I have kldloaded acpi_video and I have hw.acpi.video.lcd0.brightness listed under sysctl but changing it has no effect at all. I would like some guidance where I can look to find a solution or help you guys identify the problem. I am also a developer myself so even though I am a FreeBSD newbie I can still understand technical details :) I know also that there might be other solutions to the problem (that only works under X) but I am interested in a more universal solution. Would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance! // Albert Cervin
