I'm in favour.  The old driver seems full of bogus code anyway, as we
dropped tracking the OSS/Free releases.  I tried to integrate C924
support in mad16.c yesterday, and suddenly found that there were no
references _at all_ to this file...  I'm getting a new soundcard
instead.
