hi, i'm having trouble with a box i want to set up as a bridge. i've rebuilt a kernel with options BRIDGE in it, sysctled -w net.link.ether.bridge=1, and the box still isn't bridging. some relevant dmesg parts: ed0 at 0x280-0x29f irq 3 on isa ed0: address 00:80:ad:84:b5:22, type NE2000 (16 bit) 1 3C5x9 board(s) on ISA found at 0x300 ep0 at 0x300-0x30f irq 10 on isa ep0: utp[*UTP*] address 00:60:08:56:2c:39 IP packet filtering initialized, divert enabled, rule-based forwarding disabled, logging disabled BRIDGE 981214, have 4 interfaces -- index 1 ed0 type 6 phy 0 addrl 6 addr 00.80.ad.84.b5.22 -- index 3 ep0 type 6 phy 0 addrl 6 addr 00.60.08.56.2c.39 DUMMYNET initialized (980901) -- size dn_pkt 48 is there something obvious i've missed here ? any reports i have seen on the mailing-lists state that trouble arise when trying to do firewalling + bridging, but that bridging alone works well. and these were rather old posts. is there anything obvious i'm missing here ? please cc me any answers as i'm not on the list. regards, Andres To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
