I've recently purchased FreeBSD on CD-ROM. So far I love how easy it was to install for a rookie like myself. I now have one question which may be compiled by many later. I'm trying to run an a.out file compiled by the g++ compiler. As in the book on page 151, "I'm in the directory and can see the file", but when I try to run it I get "a.out: not found". I'm using the Bourne-shell. I've looked at the path statement and I'm working in a sub-directory beneath my home directory. The sub-dir is not in the path statement, but the home directory is. I was able to compile the file find, obviously, but now how do I run the thing? All help appreciated. Thanks.
