The only things that can be seen here are:
1. You're running an old version of ppp where the HDLC logging is
broken (truncated at the end of the first mbuf).
2. The peer isn't responding.
Are you sure that you've successfully connected to the peer ?
Perhaps the peer is expecting a login phase....
