BTW, the VESA mode doesn't work on -stable now either.  I knew I
shouldn't have cvsup'd, with all the problem reports I'm seeing on the
lists.  Dohh!  But I just ordered a Dell 8200, so maybe my problems will
become "different"  Rob.
