I have PPP working just fine on my 4.6-STABLE installation, however, I'm not using PAP nor CHAP, and I have no idea what I'm dialing into. You may already have set this, but if not, its worth a try. In your /etc/ppp/ppp.conf file, ensure the logging setting is set up *ATLEAST* as: set log Phase Chat LCP IPCP CCP tun command This will log much more than the typical setting of set log phase tun I hope this helps... :-) Radu M.
