Hi Warner, Do I encounter a problem ? It seems my good old serial/modem does not work any more it just locks up the machine. Nothing will work any more, ejecting and during boot card inserted nothing just a plain lock up. But all the other pccard i have seem to work great. My scsi (adaptec 1460), my wavelan (Orinoco), my ethernet 10mb (Dynalink L10C), my ethernet (Dynalink 100/10baseT) and a ethernet UNEX 100 work all without any problem. Is there any thing that jams the serial driver with getting the propper IRQ for handling of the sio ? It is happend before the lock ups with this card but alway managed too get i to work, sometimes warm boot or just a cold boot. Never the same always some thing different. this is the modem card: pccardd[156]: Card "IBM"("PCMCIA 28.8Kbps International Data/Fax Modem") [2.1.31] [] has function ID 2 It is an old pcmcia 2.1 card.
