I have installed the 2940 on a pentium-60 with 2-IDE drives and 1-SCSI.

When booting FreeBSD I have to disable the bios on the controller for it to 
get past the device probe. The problem is that after a reboot the setting in 
the controller are set back to the default or in the 2940W mode, which I don't 
have.
