Jordan held a vote a while back and then removed it, as it was considered
too "specialized" and too hard to maintain.

I disagreed, since CD-ROM writers are rapidly becoming commodity items, 
and this is cool functionality to have available.

I believe that it has been moved into ports someplace, but I do not
know for sure.
