I just tried - for the fun of it - to do killall -9 portmap and start it up again. It starts without any problems, but the mountd and nfs are still a pain. What does rpcinfo -p [hostname] show? I noticed you are not allowing localhost to talk to itself w/ portmapper..im not sure if that would matter here though. What is the output of rpcinfo tho?
