This started on or near May 8. As there have been no changes to the apm code in that time, I assume it's somewhere else and tickled by APM. On the plus side, I just updated the embedded controller code on the system and ACPI almost works! Maybe I can live without APM, but I'd sure like some idea of what might have caused this!
