System is a brand new Dell Poweredge 2850 (output of dmesg below)

System crash using PAE kernel (with SMP) only when compiling things like apache.  Standard Generic Kernel (with SMP) does not exhibit the crash/problem.

Boot PAE kernel and compile something;  I compiled apache (httpd-2.0.54) and it will consistently crash at some point during the compile/configure with an error similar to the mentioned panic message.
