Hi. As Kip pointed out, this is a known issue with write allocate filesystems in general (not just ZFS). This is one of the several reasons why SUN recommends you do not completely fill up a zpool (they actually recommend to stay at or below 80% utilization). I have a workaround for you, however: Pick a file you don't need on the filled up ZFS volume. "Empty" the file contents in a way of your chosing. This should give you some disk space needed to use "rm" and further empty up your filesystem and allow for normal operation.
