The next release, assp-1.5.1 is due in the next few days and contains major changes some of which may well impact hangs under load conditions. The port will be updated as soon as the release is done. At this stage I would recommend trying the current 1.5.1 rc candidate which is available from the ASSP development site. In any case, this sounds like a problem with the application itself as opposed to the FreeBSD port, so if the problem persists with the new version, it should be posted to the ASSP development mailing lists. -jr
