While I want to think that FreeBSD is at the core of people's life, that's =

If we were not maintaining those interfaces in amd64 _or_ if it didn't make
rust work, then I might tilt towards holding out.  AFAICT, there's no
additional work to having COMPAT* work.  No libraries, no code --- isn't al=
l of
COMPAT* simply sub functions that forward to new stuff?

I would call US out for being silly to not recommend this change.  It's a z=
ero
effort change and it fixes a very real problem.
