I just did one for a customer a couple of months ago (the upgrade was painless). I didn't pay attention to the quick boot or boot ignoring keyboard items but the AWARD may offer it if the AMI doesn't. Don't feel bad, it does it to 4.6 too. I turned off Java and Javascript and it loads fine.
