I think it was the ucred structure growing an extra pointer. This worried me because I thought it might affect other kernel interfaces as well; I think the 'right' solution here would have been to split the kernel and userland versions of the struct... -- ... every activity meets with opposition, everyone who acts has his rivals and unfortunately opponents also.
