I will look into these issues myself. (1) Why is the JDK 1.2 port named java/jdk12-beta ? (2) Perhaps we can let the ShuJIT port in java/shujit check if the FreeBSD JDK 1.2.2 is installed, and if so, use that one to compile with instead of JDK 1.1.8. (3) Same for OpenJIT in java/openjit. (4) There is a java/jdk-doc ports that installs the JDK 1.1.8 docs. Could we have a java/jdk12-doc port too? And perhaps a java/jdk13-doc too. I would love to see those :) Just wonder if they should install the docs under /usr/local/jdk1.2.2/docs/ or under /usr/local/share/doc/jdk1.2/. (5) Does anyone know why I have an empty /usr/local/share/doc/java/ directory? I haven't created it, and I wonder what port did. (6) Finally, I am working on providing a port for the Orion web server. Who should I contact if I would like this port to be added as java/orion and perhaps as www/orion too? Is there anyone that would like to help me with this? -- Ernst To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
