When I boot, it complains that boot.cfg and boot.help are missing, and I have to hit a return to get it to boot. My original root didn't have these files, but I never got such an error. When I created the file partitions, I just did disklabel -w -B sd1 conner_new which uses /usr/mdec/boot1 and /usr/mdec/boot2. Do I really need /usr/mdec/boot1 and /usr/mdec/rawboot? Here's the disklabel for the drive: conner_new|cfp2107e_new:\ :ty=winchester:dt=SCSI:rm#7200:\ :se#512:nc#4096:nt#16:ns#64:\ :oa#282624:pa#258048:ta=4.2BSD:\ :ob#64:pb#282560:tb=swap:\ :oc#0:pc#4194304:\ :od#540672:pd#258048:td=4.2BSD:\ :oe#798720:pe#512000:te=4.2BSD:\ :of#1310720:pf#2883584:tf=4.2BSD: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
