If it's a Pentium-Pro you should be using: options "I686" As to the reboots - Hmmm... I doubt they'd be caused by the CPU selection type... Just what are you doing to "use all the resources" of your machine? Maybe your pushing too hard? - Try posting your kernel config, or email it to me...
