Looking at CVS history, "ct" was _legally_ assigned to Cronyx Tau adapter back in 1998 (in sys/conf/majors), so it's rather pointless and unpolite to request renaming now. I think that PC98's SCSI "ct" should be renamed instead, to avoid this nasty conflict in sys/conf/* files, as it was imported in FreeBSD much later, in 2001, and obviously sys/conf/majors was not checked.
