https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D278904 Bug ID: 278904 Summary: misc/freebsd-doc-en: HTML should be single page Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: doceng@FreeBSD.org Reporter: henrichhartzer@tuta.io Assignee: doceng@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(doceng@FreeBSD.org) I feel that the misc/freebsd-doc-en port should install the HTML documentat= ion as a single page, or at least have a single page HTML option. I like that on the single page handbook (online) I can ctrl+f and find what= ever I might be looking for. Search options are very limited with the multiple p= age setup. The multiple page setup is most useful if there are bandwidth limitations, which there should not be if browsing file:///usr/local/share/doc/freebsd/en/books/handbook/index.html I can of course use the PDF, but it feels clumsy compared to the HTML forma= t. Search is much faster through HTML than PDF in this case. I know this is simply a matter of opinion, but hopefully someone else feels= the same way, or this can be made an option. Thank you! --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
