Hi, list,
I want to install FreeBSD 4.1 or 4.2 from a CDROM drive hooked up to
a Adaptec SlimSCSI PCMCIA card on my notebook (no ATAPI CDROM
inside). The installer detects and initializes the controller and the
PCMCIA card, but it does not see the CDROM drive ("No CDROM drive
found" or so). I already installed various operating systems that way
without problem. Any clue?
Andreas
