I'm forwarding your question to the scsi@freebsd.org group as I don't have
any experience with iir(4).  A quick diff between the STABLE driver and
CURRENT driver show no important differences so the driver may be
depending on something in STABLE which has changed.

Subject: Strange SCSI (maybe) problems

I have interesting problem - don't know, regards it SCSI or not. I have
Intel RAID SRCU32 and 6x 76 Gb SCSI disks. FreeBSD 4.7 see iir0 device and
disks works well, but FreeBSD 5.0 (2002.11.13) - not. In dmesg output 5.0
have record about successful iir device installation and - it can't access
my disks :(
