Sounds like some progress, another clue for others anyway. Which video driver are you loading, precisely? How and when booting? [ FTR it's not hibernate, but suspend. In all modern cases FreeBSD doesn't do hibernation - suspend to disk (S4) where power is switched off after saving state - just suspend to RAM (S3), using a small amount of power keeping dynamic RAM refreshed. ] I can now only suggest a verbose boot without starting X, suspending, resuming then rebooting or whatever you have to do, then either putting up that section of /var/log/messages from the BOOT marker till restart for download somewhere - it's surely too big to attach to the list - or email it to me and I'll put it up here. cheers
