The following reply was made to PR ports/103683; it has been noted by GNATS. It is happening on both of my local systems, so I don't completely understand why it's not everywhere. Are you running Gnome or do you just have GTK2 and glib installed? I have a very full-blown 2.14 with most all the trimmings, although I don't see the reason that should make a difference. FWIW, this probably belongs to the maintainer of p5-Gtk2 as that is the where the binary that dies is coming from. There are only two binaries in dvdrip and they are not used until long after the point where it dies. Clearly, something is not built with the proper thread library linkages and p5-Gtk2 is the obvious suspect. At this time I have no other applications using the Perl GTK2 bindings, so I would not see this in any other port. Thanks for looking at it, but could you try getting it re-assigned to the p5-Gtk2 maintainer, clsung@? -- R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
