Greetings all

Last week one of our machines using a LSI PERC 5i controller
dropped a disk in the RAID 5 the hot spare that was reported as good
when put into service failed on insertion.

Since the machine became unresponsive it was rebooted, the two disks
replaced and the array restored to optimal.

On boot the machine came to a loader prompt
booted up on 8.1 with livefs and
gpart show gives:

Tried to redo the boot with
# gpart bootcode -b /boot/pmbr -p /boot/gptboot -i 1 mfid0
mfid0 has bootcode
but it won't find the boot loader.
Is there a way to force it to overwrite the current code?

Tried to mount the / partition on mnt
mount -t ufs /dev/mfid0p3 /mnt
mount: /dev/mfid0p3 : Invalid argument

What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Jean M. Vandette
