I've seen it done this way, frequently. There shouldn't be any security issues, unless you're doing something out of the ordinary with pernissions and/or automounting of /usr. (Automounting usr would, indeed be out of the ordinary...) Since /tmp and /usr/tmp are, presumably, world-readable and -writable, it shouldn't cause any problems. -- "A man is incomplete until he is married.
