I did a full install from FreeBSD GNOME2 metaports, and then ran gnome_upgrade.sh against the stuff tagged in GNOME_2_6_0 and GNOME_2_6_OTHER. I got a number of build failures. I don't have time to look at them right now, but I have the full build log = up at: http://people.freebsd.org/~adamw/gnome/upgrade_log.bz2 # Adam 1) gnomespell cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I/usr/local/include -DGNOMEDATADIR=3D\= "/usr/X11R6/share/gnome\" -DGNOMELOCALEDIR=3D\"/usr/X11R6/share/locale\" -D= GLADE_DATADIR=3D\"/usr/X11R6/share/gnome/gnome-spell-1.0.5\" -DPLUGIN_DIR= =3D\"/usr/X11R6/lib/bonobo/plugin\" -DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED=3D1 -DASPELL_D= ICT=3D\"/usr/local/share/aspell\" -DORBIT2=3D1 -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/local/in= clude/libart-2.0 -I/usr/local/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/local/lib/glib-2.0/in= clude -I/usr/local/include/orbit-2.0 -I/usr/local/include/libbonobo-2.0 -I/= usr/local/include/bonobo-activation-2.0 -I/usr/local/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr= /local/include/libxml2 -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11R6/include/libgnomeui= -2.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include/libgnome-2.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include/libgnomecanvas-= 2.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include/gconf/2 -I/usr/X11R6/= include/libbonoboui-2.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include/gnome-vfs-2.0 -I/usr/X11R6/lib= /gnome-vfs-2.0/include -I/usr/X11R6/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include = -I/usr/local/include/freetype2 -I/usr/X11R6/lib/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/X11R= 6/include/libglade-2.0 -I/usr/local/include -O -pipe -c control.c -fPIC -D= PIC -o .libs/control.lo In file included from control.c:37: /usr/X11R6/include/libgnomeui-2.0/libgnomeui/gnome-entry.h:63: error: synta= x error before "GtkCombo" /usr/X11R6/include/libgnomeui-2.0/libgnomeui/gnome-entry.h:70: error: synta= x error before "GtkComboClass" gmake[2]: *** [control.lo] Error 1 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/textproc/gnomespell/work/gnome-spel= l-1.0.5/gnome-spell' gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/textproc/gnomespell/work/gnome-spel= l-1.0.5' gmake: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 *** Error code 2 Stop in /usr/ports/textproc/gnomespell. 2) gtkhtml3 =3D=3D=3D> gtkhtml3-3.0.10 depends on shared library: gal-2.2.0 - not fou= nd =3D=3D=3D> Verifying install for gal-2.2.0 in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/ga= l2 =3D=3D=3D> Vulnerability check disabled =3D=3D=3D> Extracting for gal2-1.99.11 >> Checksum OK for gnome2/gal-1.99.11.tar.bz2. =3D=3D=3D> Patching for gal2-1.99.11 =3D=3D=3D> Applying FreeBSD patches for gal2-1.99.11 <snip> gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/x11-toolkits/gal2/work/gal-1.99.11' =3D=3D=3D> Installing for gal2-1.99.11 =3D=3D=3D> gal2-1.99.11 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/perl5.8.2 - found =3D=3D=3D> gal2-1.99.11 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/share/gnome/.keep_me = - found =3D=3D=3D> gal2-1.99.11 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/libdata/pkgconfig/gno= me-mime-data-2.0.pc - found =3D=3D=3D> gal2-1.99.11 depends on executable: pkg-config - found =3D=3D=3D> Generating temporary packing list =3D=3D=3D> Checking if x11-toolkits/gal2 already installed =3D=3D=3D> gal2-1.99.11 is already installed You may wish to ``make deinstall'' and install this port again by ``make reinstall'' to upgrade it properly.
