Thanks! From: John Dison via freebsd-stable To: "stable@freebsd.org" Sent: Tuesday, September 15, 2015 1:00 PM Subject: Question about "pcpu" rctl Hello and have a nice day! I try to limit cpu usage for multi-threaded process on a multi-core machine. I use the following command: # rctl -a user:myusernm:pcpu:deny=200/user And I expect (please correct me if I am wrong) that all processes running with uid=myusernm will consume 200% of CPU in total. But after that I see that multi-threaded process continues to consume all available cores on my machine. rctl command reports:# rctluser:myusernm:pcpu:deny=200 What am I doing wrong? _______________________________________________ freebsd-stable@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-stable To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-stable-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
