The chip works fine, but you should take care of the card you buy. Even if the chipset is supported the card might not work at all. So read the manpage and choose a card that is listed there -- including the revision number! I'm using a DWL G650 which is equipped with the Atheros chipset, too. The signal quality is great and it works flawlessly. HTH Christian
