A) Please send messages to this list in plain text format, not HTML. B) If you want a bootable cd, why not just download an image if you're not buying a cd? The 4.3-RELEASE cd is available online, which will provide you more options and fixes than 4.1.1 had. -Otter -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Jason Ingalls Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2001 4:21 PM To: FreeBSD-questions Subject: How to create an install CD Hi, I'm very new to FreeBSD, so sorry if this question seems meat-headed but here goes: I recently d/l'ed all of the directories I will need for 4.1.1-Release. Can I put them on a CD in such a manner that I can install from that CD under a BSD booted machine? Or better yet, can I make the cd itself bootable? Thanks in advance for any input.
