I'm embarking on a uni/work project to write a device driver for some video board that isn't already supported. I'm now seriously looking at the Computereyes' PCI/1024 board. Eventually, I hope to contribute something to the FreeBSD jihad. I also hope to extend vic to use this board for a small videoconferencing demonstration at the end of the project. The proposed use for this board is for a video wall, hence the need for a hi-res capture board. Is anyone else doing anything with computereye's gear? I've emailed them a couple of times and they sound quite reasonable, except that I'm going to have to wait a while before they can get specs to me. Already I've played around with device driver LKMs and they look pretty funky (/dev/dave was fun :) Any words of wisdom for me? d -- David Leonard Project Officer, DSTC The University of Queensland david.leonard@dstc.edu.au http://www.dstc.edu.au/WP/staff/david-leonard.html
