As you all know the broken bar character has a special use due to "pinping" ops. Well, in my xterm, rxtv I can't use it. I type it and it doesn't show up. Althought using any other app I am able to type it. Any ideas ? I have been playing around with xmodmap, changing it to other keys and I get the same result. Please note that I am using XFree86 keyboard portuguese mapping. Thank you in advance for your help.
