I'm planning to buy a T-bird@1,333 GHz with 256 RAM and would like to run a server for 20 players (maybe i'll reduce them if the server lags). I'll use 100Mbit/s LAN Card connected to a 10/100 switch for my internal network, but the outside network is at 10Mbit/s. I'm expecting about 10 players from my LAN and the rest from the external network. Is it possible to transfer the log files to my gateway on a regular base, where they would be analyzed and displayed from there, i.e. the apache will run on the gateway? The gateway is a P166 with 32 RAM and about 800 Mb free HDD. Hmm, i guess not :( > > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG > [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Martin Tsanov > Sent: Thursday, May 16, 2002 10:34 AM > To: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG > Subject: counter-strike server > > > Hello all > > I use a FreeBSD stable box for my gateway/firewall > in my game club and i'm very proud of it :). > I'm planning to run a server for the game > Counter strike and i want to run it on FreeBSD, not > Linux.
