Apparently I just read the first few chapters from the Porter's Handbook, and followed it the best I could. It was only after I sen in the pr that I noticed and read Chapter 10 of the Porter's Handbook. :/ I hadn't even contacted the maintainer yet, because I did not know that there were separate instructions for creating a new port and upgrading an older one. So, is this a bogus pr, or can the port still be upgraded with my fixes? (CC:'ed the maintainer)
