Hi all, I wish to try to set up a DNS on a second machine Background : My ISP has created a fbsd machine static IPed for me...but I wish to have a crack at it myself on another box. I have set up FBSD 2.2.2 as a LAN gateway with a dynamic IP as instructed via PPP docs etc....It works well. I now wish to switch it to static IP and set up DNS The pppdoc suggested I not enable routing since it tends to delete routes hardcoded into ppp.conf. So what steps do I need...Is ther a sequence of steps I need to follow? I have access to named.boot on my original fbsd machine...but what configs need changing...any help please? Thanks Keith spencer
