I have a diskette that is damage. I tried in MS-DOS and that system told me that the diskette was unreadable. As I think that DOS isn't a good system, i tried it on FreeBSD 2.1 I did it in that way: (as root) mount_msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt (as single user) cd /mnt ls -al (the result was) panic: dma_check... syncing disks... 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5... Autorebooting in 15 seconds... (i forget the whole message... if you wish i can send to you all the message!) I tried later in the FreeBSD 2.05 and the same error happened. I tried with MTOOLS and it didn't happened. In fact it showed to me a lot of garbage. If you wish i can send to you my diskette. With best wishes, Pedro Vapi.
