https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D261523 Bug ID: 261523 Summary: [exp-run] Change default db5 (deprecated and EOLd) to db18 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: devnull@apt322.org CC: lwhsu@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 231394 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D231394&action= =3Dedit Patch - Default BDB 5 to 18 First of all, I appologize to open bug on "Individual Ports" component. I know that "Ports Framework" should be correct, but only "Individual Port(= s)" appears for me. Maybe I don't have permission. So, if you can change the fields, that would be great. db5 is very outdated (with possible security issues), and since today (2022-01-27), this port was abandoned by maintainer. The current version db18 is the most up-to-date and is maintained by ports. db is required as needed (directly or indirectly) by many applications comm= only used like Apache Httpd Server and Git-svn, so I proposed this patch for testing. Please perform an exp-run with this patch applied. Thanks --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
