For the past few weeks I have been trying to install gtk1.2.1 so that I
can install the Gimp. every time I try to do a make I get the following
error:

------Lotta Stuff Deleted-----

checking for gettext... no
checking for gettext in -lintl... (cached) yes
checking for extra flags to get ANSI library prototypes... none needed
checking for extra flags for POSIX compliance...
configure: warning: Could not determine POSIX flag. (-posix didn't work.)
checking for glib-config... /usr/local/bin/glib12-config
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.1... no
*** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log
for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB was incorrectly

I have already installed gettext0.10.35 and glib 1.2.1 from the ports
collection. I don't understand why gtk thinks that I'm using an older
viersion. Any help will be appreciated.

Why do they put Braille dots on the keypads of drive-up ATMs?
