Hi, it *looks* like the password is wrong. Can he log in manually
using `term' ? Perhaps there's a character in the password that
needs to be escaped ?
He may also want to try the latest version of ppp - it looks like the
version he's got gets confused when it gets the immediate disconnect
(and starts sending LCP packets anyway).
