Hi! recently while ive been trying to cvsup I get error messages like this ncr0: timeout nccb=0xffffe000052xxxx (skip) which turns the computer in an unusable state , which leaves the reset switch as the only alternative. the /usr/src is a 2GB part on a brand new 9.1GB fujitsu disk. the controller is a ncr0: <ncr 53c875 fast20 wide scsi> rev 0x03 int a irq 3 on pci0.9.0 its about 4-5 months old , a tekram card .. uname -a FreeBSD alpha.telia.net 4.0-19990221-SNAP FreeBSD 4.0-19990221-SNAP #2: Sun Mar 14 21:45:54 GMT 1999 root@alpha.telia.net:/usr/src/sys/compile/alpha alpha So is there any solutions to this problem ? I havent checked the tekram site for firmware upgrades yet. /Khaled, Telia Network Services Mail: khaled@telia.net Cell: 070-6785492 Work: 08-4567281 :hacker: /n./ [originally, someone who makes furniture with an axe] To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
