In my Miata there are 6 slots for ECC SDRAM, currently two of them are equipped with 256MB ECC registered Sticks from HP. Perhaps I have the opportunity to check out next week how the machine behaves with 1,5GB, although the hardware compatibility page states that 1,5 GB are possible, but due to OS limits 1Gb limit. Source: http://cvsup.test.ision.net/releases/4.8R/hardware-alpha.html#AEN270 Although the hardware allows you to install up to 1.5Gbyte of memory, FreeBSD is limited to 1Gbyte because the DMA code does not correctly handle memory above 1Gbyte.
