However, it was never substantiated -- neither by statements from other portmgr@ members, nor by references to public discussions arriving to this consensus. FreeBSD ports certainly tried to support such cases before -- if we really did depart from that view, I'd like to know, when it happened and whose decision it was. Please, advise...
