This is what I have on ftp.cz.FreeBSD.org for a long time: FreeBSD - stuff mirrored from ftp-master (srcs updated loc.) FreeBSD-cvs - stuff mirrored from cvsup-master (cvsup/ftp/rsync access) FreeBSD-archive - stuff removed from ftp-master and moved to this archive FreeBSD-local - our local stuff, for Czech and Slovak community BTW: FreeBSD-archive and some defense against some type of ftp-master failure or unwanted deletions (as once happended) are the main things, why I still wait with transition from rsync to cvsup. I have found that it would be possible to remove "delete" from supfile and use cvsupchk from cvsup contrib to detect files removed on ftp-master, so I can move them to FreeBSD-archive, but it needs some more tests... > It seems good idea for me. All of *full mirror* sites FreeBSD FreeBSD-archive FreeBSD-extras FreeBSD-snapshots and/or -current/-stable/releng4 and others I could not imagine... (so it is possible to reduce or widespread *.FreeBSD.org specialized FreeBSD's public servers? who knows all these servers?), ... ??? -- Rudolf Cejka http://www.fit.vutbr.cz/~cejkar Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology Bozetechova 2, 612 66 Brno, Czech Republic To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message
